Harry Barschdorf provides strategic consulting services to companies that seek to expand their footprint in the Federal civilian, Defense, and Intelligence agencies markets. Harry’s experience, expertise, and passion is to improve efficiency and performance of the administrative functions of government with particular focus on government acquisition and assistance, financial management, asset management, and the development and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of those functions.
He works with leaders and teams to define go-to-market strategies, hone product and service offerings, and build professional services organizations to execute the strategy.
Prior to joining the IntelliVen team, Harry spent 9 years as the Vice President of Client Services at Compusearch Software Systems, Inc., where he led new business capture management and growth of a professional services organization that supports the implementation and operation of the firm’s proprietary software. During his tenure, Compusearch grew to support enterprise-wide implementations of its software at 10 of the 14 US Federal cabinet agencies as well as expanded to also support operations in both the Department of Defense and Intelligence Agencies.
From 2003 to 2006, Harry was Executive Director for the Government Solutions practice at Management Concepts, Inc., a provider of training, publishing and management consulting services to both federal and commercial clients. Mr. Barschdorf launched a new services practice focusing on the “business of government” including procurement, financial management, human capital management, and project and program management.
Previously, Harry served as Senior Vice President at American Management systems (AMS) where he led a group providing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions to Federal Civilian agencies. Over a fifteen-year period Harry grew his business area from startup to over $100M in annual revenue with 700 professional staff. His group’s solutions were derivatives of AMS’s proprietary Momentum, Federal Financial System (FFS) and Procurement Desktop software products.
Harry has had operating responsibility for all business elements including P&L, service delivery, packaged software product R&D, go-to-market strategies, business development, external communications, government relations, negotiating and managing federal contracts, and acquiring and developing staff. Harry has also been responsible for negotiating and managing relationships with alliance partners including third party software vendors, system integrators and other implementation partners.
Harry launched his professional career at the Library of Congress Congressional Research Service (CRS) as an information specialist supporting House and Senate Members and committees. He also spent several years at Price Waterhouse on a project to design and implement a new Worldwide Real Estate Management System for the US Department of State.
Harry holds a BA from Williams College and an MBA in Information Technology Management from the George Washington University.
