Mark Tice

Mark Tice, IntelliVen Senior Principal, has 30+ years of General Management and Go-to-Market experience with application software companies serving both Federal and Commercial markets. He has successfully woked with ventures from pre-revenue startups to large-cap public companies. His enjoys most working with companies in the $10-250M range.

Working with top venture capital firms, Mark served as CEO for two startups which he grew dramatically and engineered successful exits to NYSE-listed companies Oracle and PROS Pricing.

Mark has a long track record of success as a sales executive. He led Sales at MarkLogic, which was backed by Sequoia Capital and Tenaya Capital, where he grew the company from $40M to $80M.

He next ran Sales and Customer Success for Unison, a private equity-backed company owned by Abry Partners, where he worked with the team to grow from $50M to $100M which resulted in a successful exit to The Carlyle Group.

Most recently, Mark was an operating partner specializing in Go-to-Market initiatives for SymphonyAI, a midmarket value-based private equity firm that grows PortCos by infusing them with AI-based new product offerings. While with Symphony, Mark worked at all stages of the PE lifecycle including deal diligence, authoring and executing value creation plans, working with leadership teams to solve go to market challenges, integrating acquisitions, hiring new leadership, and preparing for exits.

Mark currently provides leadership and advisory services to private equity firms and their portfolio companies principally on Go-to-Market-related matters. Typical services include acquisition diligence, Go-to-Market diagnostics, sales / marketing talent assessment, reviewing partner strategies and execution, diagnosing and fixing customer churn, and conducting strategic deal reviews.
