University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Computer Science Outstanding Achievement in Management

CACS Finite State DiagramTo recognize the remarkable accomplishments of graduates of the School’s degree programs, the University of Massachusetts Amherst College of Computer Science established the Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA) program, under which awards are presented annually in several categories.

IntelliVen CEO, Peter DiGiammarino, received the school’s 2015 award for Outstanding Achievement in Management at the annual awards dinner on May 1, 2015 for “extraordinary management and leadership skills, demonstrated through corporate success and promulgated through teaching and mentoring.” See his opening panel remarks at this link.

Also earning a UMass CS 2015 OAA Award was Dr. Eric W. Brown for Outstanding Achievement in Technology Development for work on the development and management of open domain question answering technology and its application within the IBM Watson system and beyond. Dr. Eric Brown is the Director of Watson Algorithms for IBM Watson Group Innovations.
